Whether you are visiting us for the first time or are a regular patient, here are answers to the most common questions about our services at Courtyard Clinic Dursley.
What should I expect at my first appointment?
At your initial appointment, your practitioner will take time to understand your medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors. They will carry out a detailed assessment, explain their findings clearly, and begin treatment where appropriate.
Booking is simple. You can:
If you are unsure which practitioner or service you need, our reception team will be happy to guide you.
We accept payment by debit card, credit card, Apple Pay, and cash. Payment is normally taken at the end of each session unless you are claiming through private medical insurance.
Yes. Courtyard Clinic Dursley is recognised by most major private health insurers. Please let us know your insurance details when booking and bring any authorisation codes to your appointment. Our reception team can help you with the process if needed.
We understand that plans sometimes change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, may incur a full session charge.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. For physiotherapy and sports therapy, gym or sportswear is ideal. For podiatry, please bring the shoes you wear most often. If your appointment involves exercise-based rehabilitation or Pilates, trainers or supportive footwear are advised.

We have limited parking available on-site at Courtyard Clinic Dursley. In addition, there is free parking for limited periods at Active Lifestyles car park and Sainsbury’s car park, both just a 5-minute walk from the clinic. Please allow a little extra time before your appointment if you are using these options.

No. You can book directly with us without a GP referral. Many patients choose to come straight to the clinic for physiotherapy, sports therapy, or podiatry. However, we are also happy to liaise with your GP or consultant to ensure your care is well coordinated.
If you are claiming through your insurer, we normally invoice them directly (provided authorisation is in place). Some insurers require you to pay upfront and claim reimbursement, so please check with your provider before attending.

We know health appointments need to fit around busy lives, so we are happy to be able to offer flexible booking options, including some evening sessions. Availability may vary depending on the practitioner.
