Holly Griffiths

Chiropractor and Pilates Instructor
Biography

Meet Holly

I am a registered chiropractor with a master’s degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, graduating with distinction. I was honoured to receive the award for best research project for my work investigating the management of low back pain in adults. I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council and a member of both the British Chiropractic Association and the Royal College of Chiropractors.
I am passionate about providing care that is informed by the latest evidence and tailored to each person. I enjoy treating a wide variety of aches, pains and injuries, with special interests in neck and back pain, dizziness and BPPV, and pregnancy-related care. Most recently, I have trained with APPI as a Pilates instructor, which I believe will greatly complement my chiropractic work and support my clients in building lasting strength and mobility.
Chiropractic is a regulated healthcare profession focused on the diagnosis, treatment, management and prevention of musculoskeletal conditions, as well as the impact they can have on the nervous system and overall health. While chiropractors are well known for helping people with back pain, neck pain and sciatica, we are also qualified to assess and treat a wide range of musculoskeletal problems affecting joints such as the shoulders, hips, knees and ankles.
At Courtyard Clinic in Dursley, my initial consultations begin with a thorough discussion of your history, followed by a physical examination. I then explain my findings, outline the treatment options and design a personalised home exercise plan. If appropriate, treatment may include techniques such as soft tissue work, spinal manipulation, assisted stretching, joint mobilisation, dry needling, or kinesiology taping. I also provide self-management strategies and discuss whether ongoing maintenance care may be beneficial.
Outside the clinic, I love spending time with friends and family, especially if it involves sport. My main passion is netball, but I am happy to try just about any activity. When I am not on the move, you will often find me reading a good book or tackling a sudoku with a cup of tea and some homemade shortbread. I also enjoy exploring new places and occasionally experimenting with arts and crafts, even if the results are not always as planned.
