Biography

Meet Zoe

I am a physiotherapist and Pilates instructor with a long-standing interest in movement, rehabilitation and making therapy approachable and effective. My career has taken me through the NHS, private practice, community work and specialist education settings, and I have loved learning from the variety of people I have worked with along the way.
I have always been drawn to water-based therapy. My interest in hydrotherapy began as a student and has remained a constant thread throughout my career. Working at St Rose’s School in Stroud reignited that passion, giving me the opportunity to use Aquatic Therapy with children and young adults with complex disabilities. It has taught me the power of patience, encouragement and creativity in supporting progress.
I first came to Courtyard Clinic in Dursley as a patient, recovering from hip surgery. As part of my rehabilitation, I was introduced to Pilates, which quickly became a new focus for me. I saw how effective it was and how well it complemented my physiotherapy work. I retrained with APPI and now enjoy teaching Pilates, sharing what I have learnt and helping people feel stronger and more at ease in their bodies.
Physiotherapy continues to challenge and inspire me. It allows me to stay curious, to connect with people and to balance my work with family life. Outside the clinic, I spend time riding my daughter’s horse, walking our dog and enjoying the countryside.
