Qualifications: RGN, RSCN, Dip Health Visitor, BSc (hons). Yoga Alliance 500 hours+

My Yoga classes are a continuing and evolving journey as I discover ways to use the breath to help you create space in body and mind to feel stronger, supple and more at ease. I love the way that each time we come to our mat yoga is a new and different experience.

I like to combine traditional Hatha, Hatha flow, somatics, meditation and breathwork. I’m also mindful and intrigued about how modern science is changing the way we approach moving our bodies and to explore ways we can build strength yet tune in to find softness inside. We may spend some time with a pose exploring new angles or ways of adapting, moving into it. This encourages us to really listen in, play around and explore our edge. I truly believe yoga is for everybody.

I have over 500 hours in yoga training to include Hatha, yin, pre/post-natal, Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs and Menopause Yoga, I continue to train to deepen my knowledge and am currently exploring the benefits of somatic yoga. My background is in general nursing, paediatrics and health visiting so have an in-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology and health conditions. I’ve also taught Psychology A level and allied medical courses.

In my classes you can expect a mix of movement, breathwork, meditation and philosophy. I guide and encourage you to find the best way to move, each class is a personal journey, props are offered, options and modifications are given, rest is always encouraged.

Outside of yoga I love to cycle, swim, walk, ski in the winter but am only a fair-weather gardener!
